Designated Premises Supervisor
A Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) is the person named on a Premises Licence, under the Licensing Act 2003, as the person in day-to-day control of the premises. A DPS has all the legal and social responsibilities that go with being a Personal Licence holder, but also has a number of additional legal and social responsibilities as the person ultimately responsible for the lawful day-to-day running of premises with a Premises Licence. Ideally candidates should have sat the Goal NCPLH before studying for this qualification, but it is not a pre-requisite that these two qualifications should be sat in any particular order.
